We are continuing to study "The Many Faces of Judaism", a look at the various movements that characterize modern Judaism. We will examine them from an historical as well as from a theological and ritual vantage point.

 

This class looks at the varieties of ways in which Judaism is observed from Humanistic Judaism through Hassidic Judaism.

You can learn to read Hebrew in just six short weeks. In conjunction with the National Jewish Outreach Program
Taught by Rabbi Josef Davidson, Adjunct Rabbi of B'nai Amoona who has successfully taught this course over the past twenty-two years.

Chanting the 5 Megillot: "Eichah"

Just as with the Torah, the Megillot (the Scrolls) have unique melodies attached to them.
Join Cantor Nathanson to learn the trope (cantilliation) system for Megillot Eichah (the Book of Lamentations) chanted on Tisha B'Av.

Hearing Men's Voices
Torah Study with Rabbi Joe
1st & 3rd Shabbat mornings of each month

Study the weekly Torah portion, the Parshat Hashavu'a.
Perhaps it will "spark" some interest to know that the main resource from which we are going to study is the USCJ's Torah Sparks, which offers a brief synopsis of the weekly Torah reading plus some conversation and teaching points in the form of quotations and questions from a wide variety of sources, ancient, medieval and contemporary.
