Morah Anita Kraus - Director
Hi, I’m Anita Kraus and so happy to be the B’nai Amoona Director of Early Childhood Education. I’ve been in the education field in St. Louis for 28 years.
My goal is for families with young children to connect with each other and to mentor happy and self-confident children that grow and discover something new every day. I am truly very lucky to be a part of the B’nai Amoona educational family.
Morah Pam Appelman - ECC Adminstrative Assistant
Hi, I'm Pam and I was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. I've been member of B'nai Amoona from the time my husband Howard and I were married. We have three daughters, all of whom went through the Early Childhood Center, B'nai Amoona Religious School, and BAUSY. They also attended Solomon Schechter Day School.
I fell in love with the ECC when my children attended, and have been working as the Administrative Assistant since the fall of 2005. I assist the Director, Anita Kraus, in the operation and administration of the ECC. My position includes a variety of duties for the ECC families and teachers, as well as special Early Childhood programs.

Morah Anne Brafa-Mazur
Hi, I'm Anne Brafa-Mazur. I've had the pleasure of teaching at the ECC for the past 25 years! I have a background in social work and was first asked to work in the Parent Infant Program. I added the Bet program the following year. I never thought I wanted to be a teacher when I was in school, but I was hooked after my first year here. Now, when people ask me if I'm still teaching preschool I tell them, "Of course, and I'm still having fun!"

I work in B’nai Amoona with the 4 and 5 year olds. I love working with kids. It is very important to me to share a love for Israel and Judaism through my personal experiences. I strive for a creative and accepting classroom environment full of Hebrew, exploring traditions and developing students’ minds.
