Take a look at all the exciting events we have planned each year!
Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur
We have a 45 minute singing service just for you on both days of Rosh Hashana as well as Yom Kippur. Your child can then continue on to participate in fun activities, crafts, stories and playtime all with supervision. You can choose to join your child or join the main sanctuary for some time to reflect on the holiday on your own.
Snacks for Rosh Hashana and a light lunch for Yom Kippur are provided for participating children.
Sukkot and Simchat Torah
B’nai Amoona celebrates Sukkot each year with a congregational Sukkot dinner; along with a celebration specifically tailored to young families. This year, we are hosting a Shabbat B’yachad Sukkot Style. We will sing our way into Shabbat and then join together in the sukkah for a delicious dinner and activity time. The service and evening are geared for children 8 and under but everyone is welcome (including older siblings). For information on our Sukkot evening, click here!
Torahs, flags, dancing, singing and candied apples. What could be better? Families, children and all are welcome for this festive celebration.
Bring your menorah and get ready for latkes! Dinner, games, activities, dreidels and gelt for all!
Purim is a blast at B’nai Amoona! Everything fun shows up for all ages including the young ones! A “short” megillah, lots of games and of breakfast for dinner. We also have a huge annual Purim Carnival sponsored by our USYer’s. Dress up as your favorite character and join us for a great time!
Seder could not be easier or more fun than when participating in the B’nai Amoona second night seder! We offer a family friendly evening of song, story, and matzah. Sitters are available for younger children who need to get up and move around.
