Registration for B'nai Amoona's The Hebrew Prophets are a Big Deal class is now open.

Classes are ongoing and are held on Tuesdays from 7pm - 8pm beginning October 28. This class will be in person and on Zoom and is facilitated by David Armstrong.

The Hebrew Prophets are a big deal: constituting one third of the Tanakh, a major section of the Christian Bible, and periodic characters in the Qur’an, they have shaped the faiths of nearly half the people on earth. But who really were these ancient men and women whose oracles fill the Haftarah, spark new religions, and influence world politics?

Join David Armstrong* on a trip back to the Ancient Near East, Israel, and Judah to find the Prophets: who they were, what they were trying to say in their historical and literary context, and how their perception has shaped our own.

David Armstrong is an MA in Religious Studies from Missouri State University (2018) and an MA in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis (2020). Master of two trades, doctor of none, his passion is for the diversity of the ancient world in its languages, cultures, peoples, and faiths and how they have created the world we live in today.
