Sisterhood Mishloach Manot Mitzvah Project

Please help share the joy of Purim and love for B’nai Amoona Sisterhood by becoming a Mishloach Manot Sponsor.  Your sponsorship gift honors our Klei Kodesh and B’nai Amoona Sisterhood members with a Mishloach Manot gift bag that will be delivered by Purim.

The Book of Esther teaches us that during Purim we are commanded to feast, send food to each other, and to give gifts of food or money to the most vulnerable.  Your generous donation enables Sisterhood to continue its mission of strengthening and uniting the women of Congregation B’nai Amoona as they work, learn, and grow together through Jewish programs.

Be a sponsor and your name will be included on the card for all Klei Kodesh and Sisterhood members.

Deadline to order is February 16, 2023.

Tu B'Shevat Book Talk with Diane Bleyer
Sunday, February 5, Minyan at 6:15 pm / Program and Snacks at 6:30 pm

We are thrilled to have author Diane Bleyer with us for a special Tu B'Shevat event and book talk. Bleyer's novel, The Second Chance, centers on a future where climate change has wreaked havoc worldwide and the human race is taking desperate measures to survive.

While this may be a fiction novel, it brings to light the importance of Tikkun Olam (repairing our world) and the reality that individual and community decisions will affect our children’s and grandchildren’s futures as well as those who come after. Diane’s novel is a “call for action” to create awareness of the devastating effects of not taking immediate action to address the issue. The Second Chance is ideal to get readers talking about climate change and thinking about their own role in dealing with the issue. Diane was honored to participate in the 2022 Missouri’s Own Program in the St. Louis Jewish Book Festival.

A limited number of books will be on hand at this event. We invite you to come to Minyan and stay for the program. No registration required.
