One of our greatest joys is welcoming new life into the world. The Rabbis and Cantor will partner with new parents to celebrate the joy and challenges of new parenthood. B’nai Amoona's Klei Kodesh (clergy) love to spend time with new parents.
If you are expecting a baby boy, we celebrate the ritual of Brit Milah, the covenant of circumcision, eight days after birth. Together with local mohelim (those certified in ritual circumcision) we create a meaningful moment of welcome. Here are some of the mohelim we regularly work with:
Rabbi Michael Rovinsky
Dr. David Elan Simckes
If you are expecting a baby girl, we celebrate the ritual of Simchat Bat, the joy of a daughter. There are many beautiful ways to fulfill our obligation of bestowing names upon our daughters and recognizing their bond with the Jewish people. We will bring the music and spirit of Judaism to enjoy the light of a new daughter of Israel together.
