Whether you are new to Judaism or just want to get back to basics, this is a great opportunity to learn with Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham. Come learn or relearn about the basic tenets of being Jewish and our Jewish people.  Classes will cover Judaism’s biggest and most inspiring ideas as well as the nuts-and-bolts of daily Jewish living. Including:

Intro to Judaism Topics Include:
·  History and culture of the Jewish people
·  Holy days and festivals
·  Shabbat
·  Passover
·  Jewish concepts of God and ethics
·  Synagogue and its services
·  Rabbinic Judaism
·  Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World)
·  Life cycle observances including: birth, Bar & Bat Mitzvah,
·  marriage and death
·  Kashrut: the Jewish dietary laws
·  Anti-Semitism and the Holocaust
·  Israel and Zionism
·  Diversity of contemporary Jewish life


This class is taught in partnership with the Louis & Judith Miller Introduction to Judaism Program at American Jewish University.
This class is is $36 which includes the cost of the book.
