We hope this note finds you and yours well and weathering these uncertain times. As always, your B'nai Amoona Klei Kodesh, staff and lay leaders are here to support you in any way that we can. We are but a phone call or email away!
Daily, we are being asked about our plans for the High Holy Days at BA. Like all of you, we eagerly look forward to these special days when we gather as a Kehillah Kedoshah, a Holy Congregation, to pray, be inspired, and strengthen our communal bonds. This year, however, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are going to be holding the vast majority of our High Holy Day Services virtually. In addition, we are beginning to explore the possibility of creating a few select opportunities to have specific aspects of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur live in an outdoor venue, with appropriate social distancing and mandatory face masking.
We are working closely with our team of Klei Kodesh, medical advisors, and our Board of Trustees to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our congregational family. After all, Pikuach Nefesh, preserving and sustaining life, is the highest and noblest of Jewish Values. A more detailed email, which will include the details of all our exciting and innovative programming for this year's unique Yamim Noraim, Day of Awe, will be sent in the next few weeks.
As we announced at our recent Annual Congregational Meeting, our theme for this year is Mah Norah HaMakom Hazeh - How awesome and awe inspiring is this place. Despite the challenges presented by these unprecedented times, we will be crafting a High Holy Day experience that will be meaningful and uplifting for all. As we have demonstrated all during these times, we may need to remain socially distanced, but we need not be spiritually isolated or detached.
Please keep an eye out for our full High Holy Days schedule. With blessings for health, prosperity and love,
