I hope you are having a great start to 2019. On behalf of Shemesh (our parent organization), I would like to welcome our new families. I hope to meet each of you soon.
Also, I would love for the Shemesh cards to circulate again. In case you’re not sure what a Shemesh card is; it is a note card to be given to anyone you think needs a little love or thoughtfulness. The intention is to write a note to someone and include a blank note so we can pay the kindness forward. Feel free to pick up a few notes from the LRECC office.
Here is a quick snapshot of some upcoming events:
Wednesday, January 9th - Mingle, Meet & Eat at LRECC - this is a great opportunity for us to connect and re-connect with each other while learning a little more about the incredible learning that transpires in our classrooms.
Sunday, January 20th - There will be a project designated to Shemesh as part of the B'nai Amoona Mitzvah Day! More information to come.
February 10th - Mark your calendars for our annual LRECC fundraiser breakfast - we will celebrate 45 years of pre-school at B'nai Amoona!
We are in need of volunteers to help with the following:
*Setting up a dinner fundraiser before Passover - this would involve choosing a restaurant and making phone calls to coordinate with the restaurant and with Anita
*Coordinating a social event (ex: happy hour) to provide another opportunity for parents to connect with each other - this would involve picking a date and location and communicating the information to Anita and me so we can inform everyone.
*If you are interested in helping with Teacher Appreciation in the Spring, please let me know and I will add you to our committee :)
