Thank You to Chef Jon for Sharing the Art and Tradition of Kosher Cooking with Shalom Amigos!
This summer, we welcomed Shalom Amigos, a Latino-Jewish dialogue group focused on bringing people together to learn the nuances of each respective culture. Shalom Amigos joined Chef Jon Hoffman to explore what it means to keep a Kosher kitchen. Guests were invited into the B'nai Amoona kitchen facilities for a tour and discussion of basic Kashrut standards and practices. The program was designed to allow attendees to learn from Chef Jon about the Kashrut standards at B'nai Amoona and his processes for maintaining and monitoring those standards. Following the discussion, the group participated in making the famous B'nai Amoona potato Knishes. They were a huge hit!
