Looking Ahead To Next Shabbat-
In the Spirit of Dialogue: A Candid Conversation About Israel
Please join us next Shabbat, December 21, following Services and Kiddush (approximately 12:30 pm) for In the Spirit of Dialogue: A Candid Conversation About Israel. Congregation B'nai Amoona is proud to provide this opportunity for our Congregants to share their own personal stories of engagement with and support of Israel and to hear from other’s in our community. This is an occasion to listen, share, and better understand the different views held by our Congregants; all under one Big Tent.
Please feel free to contact Liessa Alperin at 314-576-9990 x116 or liessa@bnaiamoona.com with any questions.

There will also be a potluck at the Turkish American Society of Missouri (TASOM) located at 664 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63125. We are asking folks to bring a dish from their Jewish tradition/culture to share. For example, one person is bringing Honey Cake, a sweet cake eaten at the Jewish New Year. We would also appreciate any story that might go along with the food. Please no pork or alcohol in the foods. We will also be using music as another form of connection. There will also be songsheets with some easy Hebrew and transliterations and english songs to share.

Jewish Family & Children’s Service is seeking “community connectors” to serve as Gatekeepers for vulnerable seniors. A Gatekeeper helps keep an eye out for relatives, neighbors, or friends who may be struggling with the challenges of aging. The JF&CS team will reach out to and work with these identified seniors one-on-one to develop a plan that helps them maintain independence, confidence, and a sense of connection to the local community. If you are interested in learning more about how you can serve as a gatekeeper, or if know of someone who could benefit from senior support, please reach out to Ken Schwartz at 314-812-9320 or kschwartz@jfcs-stl.org .
