This is an occasion to listen, share, and better understand the different views held by our Congregants; all under one Big Tent.

End of Year Giving - A Message From Our Accounting Team
Shalom! Below please find some important information about year end giving at B'nai Amoona.
To receive a 2019 tax donation:
CREDIT CARDS: If you plan to make your donation using credit card, please note that we cannot adjust the processing dates. For tax deductible donations to be included in 2019 records, we must receive your information in time for processing this year. Credit Card payments may be made through our secure website, www.bnaiamoona.com/donations.
Online payments should be made no later than 3:30 pm Monday, December 30, in order to ensure processing in 2019. As a reminder, there is a 3% fee for all credit card transactions.
Please do not send us credit card information via email, which is not secure.
MAIL-IN FUNDS All mail-in funds must be dated by and postmarked by December 31, and received by end of business January 10, 2020. Please do not mail cash.
IN-PERSON FUNDS Any in-person funds must be received in our office by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, December 31.

Jewish Community Winter Outreach Collection
We are now collecting winter items for the homeless community with the help of Jack Seigel, grandson of the Rosengartens. The items we are collecting include: undergarments, socks, boots, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, towels, washcloths and toiletries.
Special Note About Our Winter Outreach Collection Bins: The collection bins for this outreach will be located in coat closet next to the new memorial hall on the south side of B'nai Amoona. Please take your donation items there.
You may continue to bring your Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry donations to the Social Action Collection Center to the right of the receptionist’s desk near the main entrance. Our collection container for aluminum tabs from cans will also be located in this room.

BA Sisterhood invites you to Songs, Stories, and Soul: A Rosh Chodesh Tevet Celebration with Cantor Sharon Nathanson on Saturday, December 28 thirty minutes after the conclusion of Services (approximately 12:30 pm).
In honor of Chag Habanot, the Festival of the Daughters, each participant is encouraged, but not required, to bring a piece of jewelry, small item, or printed photograph that represents a woman in her life (teacher, grandmother, mother, friend, daughter) and share a piece of wisdom learned from her.

Book Club B'nai Amoona's Sisterhood has a Book Club that we share with Kol Rinah's Sisterhood. Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Lindbergh Blvd (across from Plaza Frontenac) from 10:00 - 11:30 am. New members are always welcome! You do not need to attend every month, just come when you can, nor is it required that you have read (or finished reading) the book selection for the month!

Planning on volunteering at the Jewish and Muslim Day of Service? Join in the Potluck!
There will also be a potluck at the Turkish American Society of Missouri (TASOM) located at 664 Lemay Ferry Rd. 63125. We are asking folks to bring a dish from their Jewish tradition/culture to share. For example, one person is bringing Honey Cake, a sweet cake eaten at the Jewish New Year. We would also appreciate any story that might go along with the food. Please no pork or alcohol in the foods. We will also be using music as another form of connection. There will also be songsheets with some easy Hebrew and transliterations and english songs to share.

Volunteer Opportunities at Covenant Place Ready to contribute your talents? Want to be part of our team? Have fun while using your skills and talents to help others! We have many opportunities for volunteers, ranging from one-time help, to monthly or weekly volunteer opportunities.
Jewish Family & Children’s Service is seeking “community connectors” to serve as Gatekeepers for vulnerable seniors. A Gatekeeper helps keep an eye out for relatives, neighbors, or friends who may be struggling with the challenges of aging. The JF&CS team will reach out to and work with these identified seniors one-on-one to develop a plan that helps them maintain independence, confidence, and a sense of connection to the local community. If you are interested in learning more about how you can serve as a gatekeeper, or if know of someone who could benefit from senior support, please reach out to Ken Schwartz at 314-812-9320 or kschwartz@jfcs-stl.org .
