New Task Force Forming
Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, a task force is being formed to identify whether or not a policy is needed for B'nai Amoona with regards to hosting outside groups and activities and, if deemed so, what criteria should be put in place for future hosting requests.
If you would like to be part of this task force, contact Jeff Waldman at jeffwaldman@sbcglobal.net. The first meeting will be in February (date to be determined) at B’nai Amoona.

A Few Friendly Reminders:
Our 7th grade students and faculty will be traveling this Sunday to Gateway 180 for a Mitzvah Day experience of their own! We will depart B'nai Amoona by bus promptly at 9:00 am. PLEASE be here on time. We will return to B'nai Amoona by 11:30 am and have your 7th graders gather in the gallery for pick-up.
Our 4th grade program for students and their families will be February 9 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Please save the date!

Jewish Community Winter Outreach Collection
We are now collecting winter items for the homeless community with the help of Jack Seigel, grandson of the Rosengartens. The items we are collecting include: undergarments, socks, boots, coats, hats, scarves, gloves, towels, washcloths and toiletries.
Special Note About Our Winter Outreach Collection Bins: The collection bins for this outreach will be located in the coat closet next to the new memorial hall on the south side of B'nai Amoona. Please take your donation items there.
You may continue to bring your Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry donations to the Social Action Collection Center to the right of the receptionist’s desk near the main entrance. Our collection container for aluminum tabs from cans will also be located in this room.

One of the beautiful things about Judaism is the opportunity to participate in rituals which are observed all over the world. Once a year, Men's Club invites EVERYONE to participate, learn about, and experience the Mitzvah of Tefillin. Its inspiring to know that in the Guller Chapel will be filled with men and women who have taken on this ritual. Even more inspiring when one is aware that this is the case in Conservative congregations all over the world! This is an event that you won't want to miss! If you have never donned Tefillin before, Men's Club members will be there to assist you. You don't even need to have your own Tefillin! Minyan breakfast will be served afterwards
Sisterhood
Book Club B'nai Amoona's Sisterhood has a Book Club that we share with Kol Rinah's Sisterhood. Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters on Lindbergh Blvd (across from Plaza Frontenac) from 10:00 - 11:30 am. New members are always welcome! You do not need to attend every month, just come when you can, nor is it required that you have read (or finished reading) the book selection for the month!

Jewish Family & Children’s Service is seeking “community connectors” to serve as Gatekeepers for vulnerable seniors. A Gatekeeper helps keep an eye out for relatives, neighbors, or friends who may be struggling with the challenges of aging. The JF&CS team will reach out to and work with these identified seniors one-on-one to develop a plan that helps them maintain independence, confidence, and a sense of connection to the local community.
