Operation Max Levin: A St. Louis Homecoming June 11 & June 12, 2022 AM YISRAEL CHAI
Max will recount, in person, his experience in the 2014 “Operation Protective Edge,” the latest of the Gaza-Israeli conflicts as an American-born Israeli soldier who immigrated in 2012 to join the Israeli army. He will share his personal stories as a soldier who joined an elite paratrooper unit as an American-raised boy, with American values, serving in the modern Israeli army. Looking for something "sweet" to do as a family on Shavuot? We've got you covered!
Families with Preschool and Elementary school aged children are invited to our Sweet Shavuot Spectacular taking place on Sunday, June 5 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. The morning will include interactive Shavuot activities and a delicious kid-friendly Kiddush with an ice cream sundae bar.
Please remember to bring a cereal box to help us construct "Mount Sinai." Cereal boxes will be donated to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry following Shavuot.
Jewish Senior Connection, a program funded through a generous grant from the JCA Foundation, invites interested congregants to participate in one of the following upcoming programs:
Caregiver Support Group: A six-week group designed to offer resources and support for those currently caring for a loved one. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Jewish Senior Connection program coordinator, Marcia Mermelstein, at 314-576-9990, ext. 139. A meeting day/time will be determined based on when most participants are available to get together.
Grandparent Circle: A 5-week discussion group for grandparents whose children have intermarried, and who want to know how they can cultivate the Jewish identities of their grandchildren. If you are interested in participating, please contact Marcia Mermelstein at 314-576-9990, ext. 139, or at marcia@bnaiamoona.com. A meeting day/time will be determined based on when most participants are available to get together.
