Fresh Eyes on Ancient Teachings Returns TONIGHT with a very special event:
Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Book Talk with CEO Jonathan Greenblatt in Conversation with Rabbi Carnie Shalom Rose Monday, August 8th at 5:00 pm Special Zoom Link: https://adl.zoom.us/j/93745003103 Meeting ID: 93745003103 *Please note, this is a special Zoom link - we will utilize the regular Fresh Eyes on Ancient Teachings Zoom link the following Monday.
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt will speak about his new book, It Could Happen Here: Why America Is Tipping from Hate to the Unthinkable―And How We Can Stop It.
About this Book: Jonathan Greenblatt has made it his personal mission to demonstrate how antisemitism, racism, and other insidious forms of intolerance can destroy a society, taking root as quiet prejudices but mutating over time into horrific acts of brutality. Greenblatt offers a bracing primer on how we—as individuals, as organizations, and as a society—can strike back against hate. Just because it could happen here, he shows, does not mean that the unthinkable is inevitable.
Fresh Eyes on Ancient Teachings continues next week as we begin to discuss this year's High Holy Day "Big Read" book, God in Your Body - be sure to get your copy today!
"Big Read" discussions will continue Mondays at 5:00 pm on Zoom until Monday, September 19. To order, please contact Amy Maupin at amy@bnaiamoona.com or call 314-576-9990 x131, books are $18 and can be paid for by check or cash.
