Shalom B’nai Amoona Community Members,
I eagerly look forward to seeing each of you at our upcoming High Holy Day Services. The Clergy and Professional Staff have been working diligently to be prepared to open our doorways and fill our seats with people to come together in meaningful prayer and positive spirit.
As I’ve indicated numerous times, it's an honor to serve as President of our great Kehillah. One of my responsibilities is to provide timely updates on all Personnel and Leadership changes; no one ever said it would be easy.
Yesterday, our Senior Rabbi, Carnie Shalom Rose, notified us that he will be retiring from his Rabbinic position at Congregation B’nai Amoona to pursue a new career path. He will begin his previously scheduled Sabbatical on October 7, and at some point in early 2023 assume the CEO position of the Mandel JCC in Cleveland, Ohio.
I hope each of us will make a special point of extending gratitude to Rabbi Rose, Rebbetzin Paulie and the entire Rose family during the upcoming Days of Awe. We have been blessed by their presence for 18 wonderful years! We look forward to celebrating and honoring the Rose Family at some point in the near future.
Please accept my apologies for the brevity of this note, but we wanted to make sure this important communication arrived prior to Shabbat and the New Year.
In addition, please feel free to reach out to me and/or Rabbi Rose with any comments, concerns, or questions after Rosh Hashanah.
Shabbat Shalom and Shanah Tovah,
Jeff Singer President, Congregation B’nai Amoona
